Eternal Echoes - Light and Shadow of the Wind

The photo series “Eternal Echoes: Light and Shadow of the Wind” was created in the midst of the biting cold of winter, enveloped in dense fog and permeated by absolute silence. These images present wind turbines in a way never seen before – monuments to modern energy production, captured under extreme conditions and with an aesthetic that deeply touches the viewer.

The Magic of Reduction

In daylight, snow and fog merge into a single white canvas, inextricably linking sky and earth. On this purist stage, the fine lines of the wind turbines and the minimal traces of nature come to the fore. The wind turbines appear as sculptural steles, integrating themselves into the winter landscape with their simple elegance while powerfully rising upwards.

At night, darkness takes over the task of reduction. All distracting details disappear into the absolute blackness, and only the wind turbines illuminated by the full moon stand out – luminous landmarks of modernity that cut through the sky. In this silent scenery, one can almost hear the deep swooshes of the rotor blades, which glide through the clear night with a diameter of up to 160 meters.

These images were created under the most adverse conditions: icy wind, frosty temperatures, and the ever-present fog challenged not only the photographer but also the technology to its limits. The snow reflected the light, creating a surreal clarity, while the darkness of the night opened up new possibilities for lighting effects. The battle against the elements resulted in images that appear as majestic as they are timeless.
