Highlights of the Málaga photo tour:
Málaga Photo Tour - Program
Day 1
You arrive at the cozy Nomadara Boutique B&B in Coín. For the transfer from the airport, I recommend Uber. On request and depending on availability, you can also arrive a few days earlier. In the evening, we'll get to know each other better over dinner and discuss the details of the coming days.
During our photo tour, we use very different locations to practise different photographic techniques. Whether long exposures by the sea, architecture and street photography in small mountain villages and large cities or astrophotography in a nature reserve, variety is guaranteed. During our excursions, we follow the best light for photography and you learn to improve your compositions and refine your photographic technique. I will respond to your individual questions at any time:
Day 2
Still fresh and alert, we set off at around 06:00 for a sunrise photo shoot by the sea. Afterwards there are opportunities for breaks and street photography in Málaga's city center until we photograph the sunset together from the most beautiful viewpoint over Málaga and arrive back at the accommodation around 22:00.
Day 3
After the first long day, we start today in a relaxed manner with the first image processing and image review. Here you will learn helpful tips and tricks on how to sort your images efficiently and get the best out of your shots in Lightroom. At 15:00 we start our excursion for a round of landscape photography in the national park, followed by the basics of astrophotography until we arrive back at the accommodation at around 00:00.
Day 4
Today the day begins at around 10:00 with an excursion to Andalusia's most beautiful mountain villages with the opportunity for street and architectural photography. We discover the small alleyways, old churches and the most beautiful viewpoints over the towns until around 21:00.
Day 5
Today we will evaluate our collected works on the computer. I will show you how to use advanced techniques to optimize your images and improve the final details in Photoshop. From 14:00-20:00, we can cater to the individual wishes of our group during our last photo excursion.
Day 6
On the last day, you have the option to depart individually or extend your stay in the beautiful Nomadara Boutique B&B and continue to try out your newly learned skills.
Times are approximate. We organize the daily schedule according to light and weather and confirm the exact times with the group the evening before.

Málaga Photo Tour - Information & Organization
Prerequisites
Due to the small group size of maximum 4 participants, I guarantee individual support. Therefore, this trip is well suited for both photography beginners and advanced photographers. However, you should have a clear understanding of basic knowledge such as the relationship between aperture, exposure time and ISO. You should also be able to operate your camera.
Photo Equipment
In addition to your camera, I recommend taking a maximum of 3 lenses with you. The most helpful is a standard focal length between 35 and 50mm. With an additional wide-angle lens between 16 and 24mm and a telephoto lens between 80 and 200mm, you are ideally equipped. For evening shots, you will need a sturdy tripod and a headlamp. You are also welcome to bring equipment that you would like to learn how to use (filters, remote shutter release, etc.). For image editing, you should bring a laptop with Adobe Lightroom Classic installed.
Accommodation
Accommodation is included in the workshop price. Our own Bed & Breakfast Nomadara is located in the historic center of the small town of Coín and serves as a starting point for our photo journey. There are three rooms and a wonderful cave suite to choose from. The rooms are already reserved for us. The first to book gets to choose their room first.
Transportation
We reach our photo stops flexibly in a shared car. Each participant is responsible for the outward and return flight. We recommend Uber as a transportation service (approx. 40€ each way).
Good to know
During the photo workshop, we will primarily be shooting in the best light. Therefore, we will be out early in the morning and until late in the evening. Sunrise is around 8:00 am and sunset around 8:15 pm at this time of year. We arrive at each shooting location about an hour earlier. The journey time is a maximum of two hours.
On our tours, we will mostly have to manage shorter distances on foot, but we will also be on a well-secured hiking trail for a maximum of 3 hours at a time.
In Málaga, it gets a bit chilly at night in spring with low temperatures of 8°C. I recommend bringing a sweater and a windbreaker. In September the temperatures are very warm (18°-28°C). When choosing your clothes, make sure you wear breathable materials that protect you from the sun. I recommend a sun hat, sturdy shoes and a cardigan for the evening.
