Meeting in the Courtyard III

I wanted to play with the shadows created by the early morning sun in the column garden. It took half a year for the sun to rise in the right place and for the weather to be perfect for the shot. About 30 minutes after sunrise, the propellers whirred as my drone took to the air. When the building's receptionist saw me, he came running out of the foyer. This great picture was taken while we enjoyed the first rays of sunshine and a conversation about drone flying.

The ensemble of the Sächsische Aufbaubank in Leipzig, which officially opened in September 2021, was designed by the London architectural office ACME. It is particularly striking for its column garden, a publicly accessible square with 159 columns. There are another 92 columns on the building itself, 68 of which are free-standing and 24 of which penetrate the building. They are used as sun protection, partly for smoke extraction from the underground car park and as a design element.

Acrylic

The Metallic ultraHD photo prints are based on Fuji Crystal Pearl paper, whose special surface gives the white portions of the photo a metallic shimmer. The colors are luminous and the black density is intensified. As an ultraHD print, the resolution is doubled during printing. Lightweight and shatterproof 2 mm thick acrylic glass is used for the mounting of the photograph. The aluminum Dibond backing ensures even greater stability. In combination with the Fuji Crystal Pearl paper, your subject looks particularly vibrant and refined.
