Double Award at the Architecture MasterPrize 2024
I am deeply honored to have received two significant awards at the prestigious Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) 2024: “Hospitality Exterior Architecture Photography of the Year” and the overall winner award “Exterior Architecture Photography of the Year” across all 16 categories. The AMP is one of the world's leading awards for architecture and design, recognizing creativity and innovation in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, architectural product design, and architectural photography. This year's award ceremony took place at the impressive Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, bringing together over 300 guests from more than 100 leading architectural firms worldwide.
It was an incredible evening where I not only had the opportunity to accept my awards but also to engage in many inspiring conversations with some of the world's best architects and designers.
My award-winning series: Cabane Tortin
The award-winning photo series showcases the Cabane Tortin, Europe's highest private mountain hut, designed by Snorre Stinessen. The hut is located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters on the edge of the Tortin Glacier and offers a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc massif. The challenge of capturing modern architecture photographically in this extreme environment was particularly appealing to me. Using drone shots, I was able to perfectly document the uniqueness of the design and the surroundings.
I would like to thank the jury of the AMP for this extraordinary honor. It means a great deal to me that my work, which specializes in modern architecture in remote and challenging locations, is receiving this recognition. Special thanks to Tobias and Marc Funk, the owners of Cabane Tortin, whose vision and trust made this project possible. I also thank Snorre Stinessen, whose creativity inspired me, and the teams from MJD Architects and GMA Architects, who did an outstanding job.
